Where is Finca Cuipo located?
Finca Cuipo is located in the rural area of Santa Marta, Colombia, about 50 km (31 miles) from the city, at the foot of the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, overlooking the Caribbean Sea. The closest village is Buritaca.
How do I get to Finca Cuipo?
We are located in the mountains, about 1,6 km (1 mile) from the main road. The finca can be accessed by a 4x4 or a motorbike, since the road to our finca is a dirt road. We will help you organize the transportation.
If you’re arriving from Santa Marta, Cartagena, or Tayrona National Park, just contact us and we’ll advise you on the best option and help you to book the transportation.
If you come with a rental car that is not a 4x4 you may leave it at a spot near the main road and we help you with the transportation to the finca.
Do you offer transportation?
Yes. We can help organize transportation along the Caribbean coast, including transfers between Santa Marta, Cartagena, Tayrona, and Finca Cuipo. Simply let us know your travel plans.
Do you offer meals?
Yes. While we are not a restaurant, we do offer home-cooked meals for our guests, inspired by Colombian and international flavors. Meals are prepared with care and using local ingredients whenever possible.
Do the bungalows have hot water?
Our bungalows feature outdoor showers with ocean views. To reduce energy consumption, there is no hot water, which most guests find refreshing in the tropical climate.
Are the bathrooms private?
Yes. Each bungalow has a private bathroom.
The toilet is located inside the bungalow, while the shower is outdoors, offering ocean views and a close connection to nature.
Is Finca Cuipo suitable for children?
Finca Cuipo is designed as a quiet, nature-oriented retreat. Due to the natural terrain and open spaces, the finca is suited for adults or families with children aged 12 and above.
Is Finca Cuipo wheelchair accessible?
Due to the natural terrain, the bungalows are located a short walk down a set of stairs (approximately 3 minutes) from the main area. For this reason, Finca Cuipo is not wheelchair accessible and may not be suitable for guests with limited mobility.

Can you help organize tours and activities?
Absolutely. We offer a personal concierge service and are happy to help organize activities such as the Lost City Trek, visits to Tayrona National Park, cultural experiences, and local excursions.

We collaborate with trusted local operators and can help you organize and book the Lost City Trek through us. Contact us directly so we can advise you on availability, timing, and logistics.
Is there internet or Wi-Fi?
Yes, Wi-Fi is available, in the main area, where meals are being served and the pool area. There is not Wi-Fi in the bungalows. Many guests appreciate this as part of the distraction-free experience.
